Djing sidled into this creative practice very early on.
Vaginal Vinyl was formed with artists Barbara Nealon and Tara Kennedy,
during our time together in NCAD when we decided we were a trio of female DJs and secured a weekly slot.
What we lacked in skill, equipment and record collection, we compensated with marvelous outfits and sheer determination.
Skill, equipment and record collection would catch up in time.
Music, like food, is a beautiful way of holding people together, stretching out the chance for human connection,
bypassing conversation with dancing, being next to each other in a clump of collective emotions
while everything that is going on in our lives waits outside.
